Summary:Singapore has been trying to meet growing infrastructure demands for the last forty years and has successfully reinvented herself to be a vibrant city and an important business hub today [28]. Singapore’s construction demand is projected to increase over the next few years, from 2019 to 2023, which could lead to Singapore producing more man-made aerosols. As a result, it contributes to deteriorating air quality. This project examines whether there is a correlation between the increase in industrial activities in Singapore and air quality. It uses MATLAB to collect optical depth data of clouds and aerosols over Singapore, from 2015 to 2017, which allows us to study changes in Singapore’s air quality.
