description Progress is a science-fiction action genre short film produced as part of our final year thesis project. It pioneers a cross-major collaboration for a single project; the team features 5 core team members from the Film major, 5 Visual Effects artists from the animation’s batch of graduands, and 1 designer from Visual Communication. 11 students are being graded for the same project with 3 sets of deliverables as per their individual major requirements. This format for a final year project is a first for the school. As Digital Filmmaking majors, our deliverables include a completed 20-minute film, with core team members taking on roles that oversee the process from pre-production to post-production, accompanied by a thesis paper.
