description | Soundscape evaluation is a newly implemented approach to record and evaluate soundscapes in Singapore. Soundscapes are monitored to provide an evaluation of the external environmental factors which plays a part in noise pollution. Various recording techniques are used to obtain the data and assessed between the different results. Sounds in real-life surroundings have orientation and interval indication, it is important to repeat these indications in virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) platform, to verify that the soundscape evaluation have high validity. One way to obtain the data is to use the user interfaces on the VR and AR platforms instead of using a real life simulation. |
