description For the past few years, there has been an increase in large-scale organic farming projects within Singapore with the aim to improve our self-sustainability for food resources. Apart from that, high rise home owners have also begun to grow vegetable gardens in their flat’s corridors or balconies. Many started to grow their own vegetable and herbs as they can be included in many household recipes. But due to constraint spaces and lack of knowledge for cultivating plants, many hesitate and decided not to grow their own. The objective of this project is to design and engineer a domestic use vertical farm unit for growing green vegetables and herbs. The aim is to increase space efficiency by vertical farming in these confined spaces.
