description Sky Quality Meter is commonly used as a device to record and measure the brightness of the night sky. Based on the significance and purpose of the various approaches, there are several possible methods to quantify the night sky,. The parameters that can be used to quantify light in the environment is irradiance or radiance. Irradiance is to reflect the amount of light whilst radiance is the brightness perceived. Professionals often attain the result of the night sky brightness in the form of MPSAS or NELM. In order to collect results handier and simple this project will focus on the software application development using image processing. Obtaining the image pixel array, to get the luminance of image and quantify the night sky brightness.
