Summary: | Background: Provision of health care insurance facilities will create conducive work
climate and eventually encourage the spirit and productivity of work. JIH hospital as
a new hospital in Yogyakarta take effort to administering by their self their health
insurance for their employees take a form of annual platform according to their
position that prevail for the employees and their family. From an evaluation, the
number of health care cost increases 142% since 2 years of operation. Therefore,
special study on utilization was need to knowing the utilization pattern of health
insurance by the employees and their family thus would be obtained the affectivity of
that policy.
Objective: To analyzed and evaluated the cost and affectivity of the policy on health
care insurance program that have been being performed by the management of JIH
Hospital, Yogyakarta.
Method: This was descriptive study used single holistic case design. The analysis
unit was a program of health care insurance for the employees of JIH hospital,
Yogyakarta and data on utilization of health care insurance for the employees in
2010. The subject of the study was the stakeholders from the management party and
employees.
Results: The utilization rate per month for first level outpatient (RJTP) was 20.76%
