Summary:This study aims to find the cultural hegemony of Korea to student of SMA 6 Baubau. The purpose to reveal the Korean cultural hegemony strategic over the student through language learning aplication and recognition of Korean culture in school and reveal the power of the agent and the means used in the process of Korean cultural hegemony. By using a qualitative method performed by a combined approach of participant observation with in-depth interviews (depth interview), this study is framed and analyzed based on the concept of hegemony Antonio Gramsci and Pierre Bourdieu symbolic power to reveal the power of language and symbolic hegemony of Korea and the Korean culture among students of SMA 6 Baubau. There are several points to be argued in this research. Firstly, discourse around the relation between cia-cia and korea that can be interpret as a form infiltration of a south korean language and culture over the society of cia- cia in Baubau. To understand the relation between korea and cia-cia which exist earlier in Baubau. So the social, political, and cultural context the separation of hangeul and korean language in bau-bau spesifically to the laporo people in sora wolio can�t be release from spread of Korean pop culture in Indonesian to day. Secondly, when a student of SMA 6 Baubau learn Korean, then slowly they will learn Korean culture, because language learning also requires a person to learn about the culture of the owner of that language. At this point the Korean culture will slowly internalized by those who learn Korean (student of SMA 6 Baubau) in Sora Wolio. Internalization of the Korean culture on the one hand can enrich the meaning of culture among students. But at the level of the other, then the more distant Korean culture into the lives of those who confirmed through a partnership between the City Government Baubau Sister City - South Korea Seoul municipal government in which the educational institution (school) into a space of cultural affirmation in Korea, especially the student community Laporo. At this point, there is a strong relationship between language and power. Third, the intersection of culture with a student of SMA 6 Baubau South Korea gave a lot of influence on their outlook and image of South Korean culture. Although the interaction of the two entities come to enrich the cultural dynamics of culture in society Laporo, but Laporo the intersection of culture with the culture of South Korea would give way to the Korean cultural hegemony over society Laporo especially among students of SMA 6 Baubau. At this point, the school became the arena of cultural production through the agency of intellectual power and Cia-Cia and the textbook as a means of propaganda for the edification of hegemony and power of South Korea's top students in SMA 6 Baubau.
