Summary: | The objective of this research is to analyze the effect of regional
goverment expenditure, labour force and education on Gross Domestik Bruto
(GDP) by using data of 10 districts in Nusa Tenggara Timur Province for periods
of 2000-2010. Hypothesis made is that regional goverment expenditure, labour
force and education is the population of high school graduate /equivalent distance
have positive effect on GDP in 10 district NTT Province.
Tools of analysis that used in this research is panel data Regression. The
selection of the best methods used significance of fixed effects test and Hausman
test. The dependent variables are GDP, while independent variables are regional
goverment expenditure, labour force and population of high school graduate /
equivalent. Data sample used are 10 item taken cross section (10 districts) and 11
item taken time series (2000-2010) from population located Nusa Tenggara Timur
Province. The data source are BPS-statistics of Nusa Tenggara Timur Province.
The analysis showed that the best method is the random effect for the
analysis. The results with the random effect show that GDP in 10 districts NTT
Province periods 2000-2010 is influenced by regional goverment expenditure
(X2), labour force (X3) and population of high school graduate / equivalent (X4)
with positive. Every 1 percent additional from regional goverment expenditure to
main road distance will increase GDP at 0,19 percent, every 1 percent additional
from labour force will increase GDP at 0,46 percent, while the increase in
population of high school graduates / equal in population the labor force every 1
percent will increase GDP value at 0,13 percent.
