Applications multispectral image can be used to describe areas vulnerable earthquake
disaster.
This research aims to develop a method of multispectral image in an
integrated application for the identification, mapping objects and phenomena of
earthquake, assess the main factors, analyze the level of vulnerability, risks disaster
and mitigation alternatives.
The study was conducted in the region of Palu Graben in Central Sulawesi.
The image used was Landsat ETM +, ASTER, Ikonos and SRTM. Development of
image processing method carried out by combining the transformation of IHS, PCA,
filters AEL. The results of image interpretation are analyzed to obtain the source
earthquake, magnitude earthquake, the level of hazard, vulnerability and risk of
earthquake. Matching in the field is done by taking several samples. Determination of
the sample using purposive sampling.
Research shows that the accuracy of interpretation of the integration method
on the fracture (90.3 percent), lithology (89.94 percent), and land use (98.13 percent).
There are 66 fault is found. The potential for earthquakes of magnitude moment � 5.5
of 33.8% with the largest magnitude reached Mw = 7.5. PGA values of periods 0.02
seconds obtained 0.6 to 2.9 g. Large magnitude earthquakes, large shocks, the
dominance of rock alluvium in the settlements, and dense of settlements is a factor
that can lead to disasters earthquakes in Palu Graben.
Wide of each vulnerability in the three subdistrict are vulnerable level of I
(81 percent), II (9 percent), III (6 percent), and IV (4 percent). Level of earthquake
risk consists of risks I (81 percent), risk II (9 percent), risk III (6 percent) and the risk
of IV (4 percent). Seven villages in the area of research including the risk IV and
four villages risk of III. Dissemination of disaster mitigation needs to be done in this
region to reduce losses from disasters in the future. |
