| Summary: | The act of Republic of Indonesia number 36 of 2009 on Health article 141
paragraph (1) and (2) d states that effort to improve public nutrition is intend to
improve the nutritional quality for individual and society. The way to improve
nutritional community is developing Food and Nutrition Monitoring and
Surveillance System. This study describe the legal review of the regulation and
implementation of food and nutrition monitoring and surveillance system. This
study using qualitative-descriptive methods with judicial empiric approach.
Results for this study are : 1) Food and Nutrition Monitoring and Surveillance
System at Sleman District on 2010 had implemented by Food Security Division of
Departement of Agriculture Fishery and Forestry with the decree of Head of
Departement of Agriculture Fishery and Forestry. 2) Food and Nutrition
Monitoring and Surveillance Team were pointed by name rather than inherent of
the sector that supported the implementation of Food and Nutrition Monitoring
and Surveillance System. 3) Cross-Sectoral Coordination done by Food and
Nutrition Monitoring and Surveillance Team on 2010 limited to planned and
collected data as the Food and Nutrition Monitoring and Surveillance System�s
report. 4) Delayed report of Food and Nutrition Monitoring and Surveillance
System�s was recognized as the difficulty for the implementation at the field.
Conclusions for this study are : The Governance of Sleman District should
immediately carry out the decree of Presiden Of Republic Indonesia�s Number 83
of 2006 on Council of Food Security. They also have to carry out the decree of
Minister of Agriculture decree Number 43/Permentan/OT.140/7/2010 on The
Guidelines of Food and Nutrition Monitoring and Surveillance System. The
mayor of Sleman district need to form the Council of Food Tenacity and the
working group of Food Security in order to run the Food and Nutrition
Monitoring and Surveillance System optimally. |
