Summary: | Electoral arena always invite the attention of various circles. Especially for the
media, this moment has always been the main agenda in preaching. When the last
election the Governor of Central Sulawesi recently, local media both print and
electronic, are competing to promote their candidates to contest the couple. Two
local print media is very popular among the people of Central Sulawesi, Central
Sulawesi and the Lighthouse Radar did not miss of it. Interestingly, both these
media was once a newspaper that shelter under one roof management, where
human resources are involved in more or less have the same journalistic
perspective. At the news about the elections this time too, the possibility of
constructing the two media are related to the same thing Sulawesi gubernatorial
election, although with a different framing. The method used in this study was
descriptive qualitative research methods. In this study, which is the object of
research is the news of election campaign in 2011 the Governor of Central
Sulawesi and Central Sulawesi Radar Daily edition Lighthouse 21 March-4 April
2011. News issue of the election period that is examined in both the paper based
on the campaign period set by the Election Commission of Central Sulawesi
Province which lasted from 20 March to 2 April 2011. While data collecting
technique used is the analysis of news content, starting with collecting news
related to the election campaign of Governor of Central Sulawesi, and then
selecting according to the categories specified, the encoding is then performed by
using a coding sheet for each news. Data analysis in this study carried out by
framing the analysis of the model Zhongdang Pan and Gerald Kosicki Michael.
The results of this study indicate that the Radar Daily Mercusuar Daily Central
Sulawesi and tends to show one candidate keberpihakannya participants Pilgub
Sulawesi, Longki Djanggola-Sudarto (Longki'S). Both media, although with a
different editorial policy, but equally construct as a potential partner's Longki the
most appropriate leader to lead Central Sulawesi during the next five years.
