happen in it. Tracking the history of this collection was carried out to prove that
Sukarno was a strong art lover.
This thesis uses a multidisciplinary approach. Two approaches are historical
and biographical approach. His story which is very close to art and artists gave a knot
about the emergence of artistic and aesthetic awareness. This realization became the
basis for all behavior and actions, both as personal and as president. Two of this
awareness also has produced an interesting effect, namely the attitudes of the self-
Sukarno's patronage. Either one of these attitudes is to collect paintings and
sculptures of high quality.
On the other hand, his patronage attitude marked by the publication of books
of paintings and sculptures. It made his name immortal in the world of art. Sukarno
with all its flaws and strengths as a human being has incarnated as a total figure of
nation builders and strong. He was, besides a master politician, has become the
greatest art patron in Indonesia, which until now has not been defeated. |
