Disaster situations required a good adaptability, but the uncertainty condition would make it difficult to adapt, especially in the group of citizens who have the responsibility to others such as the mother. Catastrophic situation of uncertainty, coupled with the demands of the role and responsibilities as a mother of a family and children, often causing anxiety for women survivors of cold lava trim. Subjects in this study were the mothers in the affected areas of cold lava trim. Subjects were given �The Hope Interventions� that aimed decreasing the level of anxiety in the face of post-disaster situations. Design used the untreated control group design with dependent pre-test post-test samples. Control group was also given a treatment as a waiting-list group. Data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney and Wilcoxontest to see the reduction of anxiety between the pretest and posttes in the control and experiment group. We conducted a follow-up measurements to see whether the results of this intervention was still going in a certain period after the intervention was given. Qualitative analysis was done using descriptive analysis. The expected results of this study was that there was a decrease of anxiety on motherhood of The Merapi cold lava flood survivors after being given intervention. |
