Summary: | Therefore, improving organizational commitment may reduce turnover
intensity. One of the method to improve organizational commitment is
through career path. Career path is a series of individual�s career experience
gained during working period. Organizational commitment is employee�s will
to maintain his/her membership within organization and to perform high effort
in achieving organization�s goal. The study was an action research. The
purpose of the study was to review the influence of career path towards
improvement of organizational commitment of new employees at X
Company. The data sources were participants which were consisted of 26
new employees, informants, and documents. The study used interview,
observation, test and quesioner with statistical analysis using mixed ANAVA
as data collection methods. The result of the study showed that socialization
of career planning (career path) might improve organizational commitment of
new employees� there are improving knowledge on career planning.
However, it had not been sufficient to improve employees� organizational
commitment. Therefore, continuous career planning and development
system that was required in developing employees� organizational
commitmen
