Summary: | The use of management information system (MIS) based on computers is rarely used in healthcare facilities such as pharmacies, as a result, medication management is done by manually recording that resulted in inaccurately. Based on the research on the application of management information systems, it is important to do a research to see the performance of the pharmacy between computerized pharmacies and non-computerized SIM. The objective of this study is to determine the level of efficiency of medication management, level of human resources efficiency and the service rate of at pharmacies with SIM-based on computerized and non-computerized system.
The method used in the study is descriptive-analytical design. The study is conducted in Pharmacies X and Y Pharmacy SIM computerized and non-computerized SIM. The analysis data is performed to see the use of drug management by using indicators of medication management efficiency, workload analysis used by Human Resource efficiency, and promptness of service is used by dispensing time measurement.
The results illustrate that the efficiency of computerized drug management is better than noncomputerized pharmacy. In terms of human resources efficiency, it needs more human resources than computerized pharmacies, as well as the service rate of patients that show more rapid service done by
computerized pharmacies.
