Summary: | Background: Coverage of environmental sanitation and hygiene at
Subdistrict of Lubuk Sikarah Solok Municipality is still relatively low. This is
an indicator of poor quality of environmental health of the area. Some
efforts have been made by cadres and health staff to improve quality of
environmental sanitation and hygiene such as socialization and training.
However, until today there is no significant change in hygienic behavior of
the community.
Objective: To analyze association between predisposing, enabling and
reinforcing factors of environmental sanitation and hygiene promotion and
hygienic behavior at Subdistrict of Lubuk Sikarah Solok Municipality.
Method: The study was analytic observational with quantitative method
and cross sectional design. Population consisted of 7,705 families,
comprising 190 samples that were taken using proportional stratified
random sampling technique. Data analysis used univariate, bivariate with
chi square test and multivariate with logistic regression test.
Results: Statistically, factors significantly associated with hygienic
behavior were predisposing factor (knowledge) with p = 0.000 and
reinforcing factor (information/health training) with p = 0.002
