Summary: | Over expression of p53 protein has been documented in human malignancies
and shown to be associated with poor prognosis. hMLHI is a mismatch repair gene usually found in hereditary nonpolyposis and colorectal cancer. However, the relation between p53-, hMLHI expression and clinicopathological characteristic of colorectal carcinoma is still controversial.
Aim: To analyse the correlation of p53 and hMLHI expression in colorectal carcinoma cases with several clinicopathological characteristics using immunohistochemistry.
Method : 45 paraffin-preserved adenocarcinoma colorectal cases were collected from
Sardjito Hospital, Bethesda Hospital and Panti Rapih Hospital. The expression of p53 was detected using clone of DO-7 |
