he study to explore the implementation of EfSD in pondok pesantren is
particularly important to observe the perception, the attitude, and the practice of Islamic
study in the daily life. Following the implementation of EfSD in pondok pesantren, the
next step is to find an EfSD concept that is more appropriate for religious Indonesian
society. Based on the description above, the questions to be answered in this study are:
(1) what are the perception, the attitude, and the educational practice for sustainable
development in pondok pesantren (in this case, Pondok Pesantren Modern Selamat
(PPMS) Kendal Central Java)
