description | Cultivation of mustard (Brassica rapa var. parachinensis L.) in open fields has many
obstacles such as pests, wind, flooding, conditions of environmental temperature, soil of
humidity until irradiation that does not comply with the terms mustard plant growth. The
impact is the disruption of the mustard plant growth thus affecting productivity. Cultivation of
plants in the house plants (greenhouse) is a good alternative to control the constraints.
To control the microclimate inside greenhouse control system is required. The control
system micro climate is designed using AVR microcontroller ATMega8535. The design of
the control system using five sensors such as temperature and humidity environment sensor,
soil temperature sensor, humidity soil sensor and intensity of sunlight sensor. The design also
has three actuators such as fan actuator, water pump actuator and lights photosynthesis
actuator. This design was placed in the greenhouse, which is connected to a computer to
transmit data microclimate during 32 days observation.
Performance actuator control system for the fan actuator accuracy value is 95,46%,
value the speed of control actuators to controlling the temperature is 58, 7 minutes and the fan
actuator system is stable. Water pump actuator showed actuator accuracy values 98,01%,
value the speed of control actuators to controlling the soil humadity is 31,83 minutes and
water pump actuator is stable. Photosynthetic light actuators showed value speed of response
to the setting point by device design to turn on the photosynthesis lights <1 sec (± 10 ms) and
stable. Yields average weight of plants in the environment without control is 27,20 grams,
with a height is 21 cm, leaf length and width is 11,6 cm and 9,15 cm, number of leaves in the
range of 9-10 strands. While the average weight of plants in the environment with control is
81,81 grams, plant height is 33,39 cm, leaf length and width is 15,73 cm and 10,53 cm. The
number of leaves on the control environment with eight replicates was in the range of 16-17
strands. |
