| Summary: | An arranged marriage is the process in tarbiyah community. The aim of
this arranged marriage based on the faith of the activists to the murrabbi
(mentor) and the aim of marriage based of Allah. The marriage held without a
passionate relationship before marriage with a short period of introduction.
However, an arranged marriage usually bring a happiness in to the marriage.
The pourpose of this research is understanding the dynamics of marital
happiness by an arranged marriage process.
The research applies a Case study approach and use in depth interview
and observation for collecting data. Number of participants in the study were
three married couples. The participants occupied in this study were the tarbiyah
activists who begin their marriage with ta�aruf process.
The results found that couples who applying matchmaking process must
have a strong commitment to actually forming a Muslim family aligning with the
purpose of marriage. Research that discusses the joys and the decision making
process is to always submit to God and also found the influence of the group
and parent support. Wedding bliss described by a partner's ability to adjust to
the lack of attention from her partner and husband, support, mutual respect and
the respect and fulfillment of all the needs both physically and spiritually as such
there will be a peace of mind in living households called as sakinah mawadah
and warohmah as bond of marriage in moslem way. |
