| description | Since the existence of Hasanuddin University in tamalanrea district in the
early 1980, the society around its place used that chance to make homestay
business. Homestay include a sort of business in economy field that was very
promising to get benefit in which its business have a low risk and haven't need a
special time to handle it. Because of that motivation, the owner is modifying the
buginese traditional house become homestay. This research focuses by seeing the
characteristic comparison between Buginese traditional house and homestay.
This research is used rationalistic method by taken 15 cases of homestay.
This research is done in village of homestay around Hasanuddin University that is
the homestay village behind the Hasanuddin University and the homestay village
around sahabat street.
The result of this research shows that the consequence by its modification is
already occurred the charateristic difference between buginese traditional house
and homestay. That characteristic difference can be seen of 3 determinant factors
that explained by habraken (1988) in his paper tittled type of social agreement
mention "there are 3 aspects that could be a based in residence physic consist of :
1. Spatial Sytem, 2. Physical system, 3. Stylistic system". This research is very
useful for preservation the culture and the traditional house, so in the future its
become scarce and to be worried the homestay around Hasanuddin University
exactly be a pole/standart for the next generation where as the Buginese
traditional house and the homestay have many differences. |
