Description
Summary:In the development process , the Regional Spatial Planning (RTRW) is a guideline for development in many regions, mainly associated with the development of spatial structure and spatial pattern formation. However, the Regional Spatial Planning products in many region are still far from the expectations. It happened because of the intensity and scope of natural disasters which are increasing, it needs to do research in the evaluation of the Regional Spatial Planning in Purworejo using remote sensing data, especially Landsat ETM + satellite data. This study aims to assess the ability of Landsat ETM + imagery to identify and map the constituent parameters of land suitability for settlement, arrange land suitability for settlement map and evaluation of spatial plans in Purworejo. The main data used are Landsat ETM + recorded in 2003 to identify and map the parameters of land suitability for settlements. The next stepped land physical suitability analysis (KFL) with scoring method and land development suitability analysis (KPL) with matrix multiplication to produce land suitability maps for settlement. In addition to using satellite imagery, this study also uses secondary data from map spatial patterns of settlement is obtained from documents RTRW Purworejo. Spatial plan patterns of settlement map is evaluated by overlay (overlapping stacking) to land suitability for residential map use matching methods. Furthermore, to find out how much deviation and compliance measurement or calculation made percentage of any category. The results of this study shows that the Landsat ETM + can be used to identify and map the constituent parameters of land suitability for settlements in Purworejo with interpretation accuracy rate of 91% of land use and interpretation of landforms accuracy of 86% (above the acceptable accuracy). Land suitability analysis by combining land physical suitability analysis (KFL) and land development suitability analysis (KPL) produce the final land suitability map which consists of 5 classes P1 (as appropriate), P2 (somewhat appropriate), P3 (less fit), P4 (not appropriate) and P5 (not suitable permanent). Land with scattered P1 class in almost all districts except Bruno and the majority Kaligesing territory is hilly. P2 class (rather appropriate) are scattered in the District of Gebang, Kemiri, Pituruh, Bagelen, Loano, Bener and Kaligesing, Kutoarjo and Bruno who has a flat relief to the hills, while the fitness class P3 (less fit) spread in the District of Gebang, Kemiri, Pituruh , Bagelen, Loano, Bener and some Kaligesing, Purworejo and Bruno. Suitability class P4 (not applicable) has a relatively uniform distribution throughout the district, while the land suitability class P5 (not suitable permanent) are scattered in the District of Bruno and Kaligesing which is the upper slopes of the hills with shrubs land cover, forest or primary forest production. The evaluation plan RTRW Purworejo particular suitability of spatial patterns of settlement produce 83.27% while the remaining amount is 0.91% and 15.81% less fit into the category of deviant.
