Description
Summary:Breast cancer is the most common malignancy in women and most of the cases in Indonesia is found in an advanced stage that has a bad prognosis. One of primary imaging method for early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer is using of mammography. However, remember the breadth of the country of Indonesia is made up of thousands of island, so this greatly affects the health service. Major problems faced goverments is limited resource that is still the least amount of radiologist, these conditions hamper theassessment of radiological imaging result, resulting in late diagnosis and lack of accuracy of the diagnosis of patients. Various maodalities can be used to remove thesse barriers through a teleradiology. This study aims to compare the hard copy image quality of mammography (conventional film) with the result of image digitizer and compare the results of soft copy mammography from computed radiography , image digitizer and a pocket camera. The subjects of this study is the result of mammography images. The study is expected to be developed towards the use of teleradiology systems across Indonesia. This research is experimental, assessment of the quality of mammography images performed by the method of single blinded. Kappa index 0,86 obtained in hard copy image quality assessment of laser printers with a digitizer. In the assessement of specific criteria digitizer obtained moderate to good value, there are significant differences in image quality between hard copy with the digitizer. Kappa index gained 0,90 on the soft copy image quality assessment with computed radiography mammography digitizer result, the assessment of general and specific criteria obtained in moderate to very good result, there are significant differences in soft copy image quality assessment with computed radiography digitizer. While the assessment of image quality computed radiography soft copy with pocket cameras kappa index gained 0,13 eamed substantial conformity poor to moderate, the assessment of general and specific criteria derived less value to excellent with a significant difference.
