Summary:Creativity in the degung is a concrete manifestation of the development of the concept of Sundanese music artists along with the changing times. Many ideas come up with its each innovative ideas in creating new creations degung. It is a musical phenomenon in Sundanese karawitan, which gave rise to a new phase called degung kreasi. The novelty has not been set forth in writing. Therefore, this paper aims to reveal more about the new ideas in the degung kreasi, as well as how creative ideas that became a phenomenon in various models of creativity degung is still seen as a part of Sundanese karawitan. Degung kreasi for a while still to be the final phase of the degung. Nano, which appears as a change agent in it, has become the gate for the increasing creativity. Some models of his creativity, each representing a change that appears on the scale, themes, and instruments. Dedikasi gave a new color to his diatonic degung. His creative ideas led to various types of songs (daerah, pop, local, non local) in a slick package with Sundanese style. Then degung pupujian with its religious nuances. The concept is to create an atmosphere of prayer in harmony with the rasa, spirit, and the local culture, not just as an entertainment, but also as a medium of contemplation. The last model is a gitar-degung is emerging as a form of concern to the younger generation is getting away from the Sundanese music tradition. Though degung repertoire is classical, but the use of conventional Western guitar become a part of the phenomenon of degung kreasi. Changes which appear increasingly away from the classic roots of degung, because of creativiti es that a bit too far. However, after all, these creative models still have the same initial capital that is the tradition of Sunda, both instruments, tunings, patterns of cultivation, farmers, up to the audience, so that people feel comfortable and still receive and view it as a form of development of the degung.
