Summary: | This study aimed to: 1) Determine adoption in the use of organic fertilizer
the farmer members in P4S Buluballea, Gowa Regency. 2) Knowing the adoption
of the use of materials in the manufacture of organic fertilizer the farmer members
in P4S Buluballea, Gowa Regency. 3) Knowing how the adoption of organic
fertilizer the farmer members in P4S Buluballea, Gowa Regency. 4) Knowing the
factors that influence the adoption of organic fertilizer the farmer members in P4S
Buluballea, Gowa Regency.
The basic method used in this research is descriptive analytical method and
explanative. Determining the location of the study determined that at P4S
Buluballea in Gowa. Samples were taken as many as 33 people from the peasant
farmer groups Veteran (10 people), Taccalla (nine people), Maddakko (seven
people), Women Farmers Banyan (five people), Turikale (one person) and Rose
Red (one person). The data collection are using primary and secondary data. The
analysis technique used is descriptive and percentages.
The results of this study can be summarized: 1) Adoption of organic
fertilizer production technologies to farmers P4S Buluballea�s members can still
be classified in good condition. This knowed on the state receiving member P4S
farmers in applying the knowledge gained from P4S officers, both in terms of the
use of tools, materials, and practices of organic fertilizer. 2) Although the
members of P4S farmers already know, and be able to practice well in producing
organic fertilizer, but to meet the needs of organic fertilizer for agriculture or
plantations in Pattapang village as assisted areas P4S not met, and even farmers
still rely on chemical fertilizers, even buy it at a expensive price. 3) Inability
member P4S farmers to produce organic fertilizer in quantities large enough to
meet the demand for fertilizer for their farms, because of the shortage of raw
materials for making organic fertilizer, then society prefers instant way to obtain
fertilizer even at a great price. 4) Lack of raw material for organic fertilizer to
farmers P4S members because the majority of farmers in the village are Pattapang
vegetable growers, in contrast to rice farmers who have a lot of hay so it's easy to
get raw materials in the manufacture of organic fertilizer.
