| Summary: | Insurance guarantee system needs support of administration system
between the insurance providers related parties and the hospital agency so that claims verification can be done as a part of the underwriting process. The process of filing a claim had difficulty when the availability of data sources, diversity of application and availability of infrastructure, and computer networks are still problems. Solutions to these problems are the need to build data integration architecture, data claims administration system and the verification data with Internet-based. The concept of web services technology emerged to support the interoperability of the interaction between the system of machine to different platforms machine in a network. Web services was decided to use on that system architecture, each agency has a web services that functions as a server-server to requests service from clients.
The system built is a web services to provide services to clients. Web
services is an alternative technology in data integration system that works on
HTTP protocol using the SOAP standard to exchange data. SOAP is a pure text in XML format, serve as an XML-based protocol for exchanging information among computers via the transport protocol.
The results of this study produced a prototype of data integration claims
data administration system and verification of claims data (study case in Bapel
Jamkesos DIY) with relevant local general hospital agency in DIY. Data
integration architecture that is built by applying web services technology in a
prototype of data integration. The data integrated is the hospital patient claims data to support the process of insurance underwriting verification administration in Bapel Jamkesos DIY.
