description Limboto Watershed already degraded serious enough to cause a decrease in the carrying capacity of the environment due to the increasing pressure of land use and lack of conservation efforts by the community. The number of protected forest and nature reserve areas in Limboto Watershed who converted to agricultural land, even worse still done by the agricultural community is the agricultural system that is incompatible with the conservation of dryland farming land to moor (crops), palm oil , hazelnut , etc to reach 40.58% of the area of watershed Limboto (JICA- Department of Forestry, BP DAS Bone Bolango LP2G 2003). This study aimed to determine the level of criticality Limboto watershed land and conservation methods that will be conducted in the watershed. Determination of critical watershed lands Limboto based Plan for Forest and Land Rehabilitation Techniques Watershed (RTkRHL-DAS) of the Department of Forestry in 2009 to determine the area of land use in advance using the criteria established by the Center for Land Rehabilitation and Soil Conservation (BRLKT) Department of Forestry, until acquired division that is the protected area, protected forest areas outside agriculture and the cultivation area. Then determine the appropriate method of conservation land with biophysical conditions and overall Limboto Watershed analysis was performed with the help of ARC GIS 9.3. Results obtained showed Limboto Watershed Region consists of four areas of land allocation that is protected forest area of 2700.80 ha (2.97%), the forests outside protected forest areas of 20647.60 ha (22.68%), seasonal agricultural cultivation area of 60563.62 ha (66.53%), annual agricultural cultivation area of 2309.01 ha (2.54%) and the others are Limboto Lake, residential, embankment and airport. The critical level of the land in the watershed Limboto its uncritical category 17234.42 ha (18.93%), the potential critical area of 5456.04 hectares (5.99%), somewhat critical area of 48240.08 ha (52.99%), the critical area of 12476.93 ha (13.71%) and critical an area of 2813.57 ha (3.09%). Conservation recommendations taken is usually vegetative methods, civil engineering and a combination of vegetative and civil engineering. And the most important is the direction in the management of land use that have a considerable influence in the rehabilitation and improve watershed.
