Description
Summary:Urban Public Transit Trans Jogja Bus has been operated since 2006 to solved the problems of transportation in urban areas of Yogyakarta. But, the high number of Trans Jogja Bus passengers demand was not balanced with the Trans Jogja Bus adequate performance, so it need to be evaluated. Currently, Trans Jogja Bus has operates six routes, there are 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the current route and plan a new development route. In this research, the modeling process was conducted with the help of EMME/3 software by entering the secondary data. Modeling done by assigning the origin destination matrix of Trans Jogja Bus passengers on the road network, so it will be retrieved some parameters for validation tests such as the number of fleet, the number of passengers, load factor, and the travel time. The validation test done to compare the field data and the data from running the program. After the validation test shows the best value, then do the addition of Trans Jogja Bus route. The validation was done up to sixth validation until that validation gives the closest results to the field data. From the lastest validation result, it can be known the performance of existing Trans Jogja Bus routes. That result show the value of load factor of each route. There are 1A = 0,78, 1B = 0,40, 2A = 0,34, 2B = 0,32, 3A = 0,39, 3B = 0,42, 4A = 0,11, 4B = 0,26, 5 = 0,19, 6 = 0,13, 7 = 0,12. Then the addition of the new routes 4A, 4B, 5, 6 and 7 can be proposed. With that addition, the load factor of each routes are 1A = 0,78, 1B = 0,40, 2A = 0,34, 2B = 0,32, 3A = 0,39, 3B = 0,42, 4A = 0,11, 4B = 0,26, 5 = 0,19, 6 = 0,13, 7 = 0,12. From that result, the new routes addition can increase the load factor value of existing Trans Jogja Bus routes. So, for increasing the performance of Trans Jogja Bus routes, the addition of the new routes can be proposed.
