adolescent survivors of the Merapi eruption. The hypothesis is playback
theater could reducing PTSD symptom in the experimental group.
Participants in this study were adolescents aged 15 to 18 years who
experienced Merapi eruption and had moderate PTSD scores. The design
of this study using the untreated control group design with dependent
pretest and posttest samples. Participants were given 6 sessions playback
theater. Measurements were taken at pretest, posttest, and follow-up.
Measurements administrated by using PTSD scale. Statistical analysis on
the pretest and posttest measurement using Mann Whitney showed no
significant difference between experiment and control group with U
value= - 0.892, p = 0372 (p> 0.05). The results of the Wilcoxon analysis
showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores of
PTSD in the experimental group with a value of Z = -1826 and p = 0034
(p <0.05), and in the control group there was no significant difference
between pretest and posttest scores PTSD with values Z = 1069 and p =
0142 (p> 0.05). |
