The study used a non-experimental descriptive. Data retrieved retrospectively by purposive sampling method from medical records of patients who met the inclusion criteria, financial and pharmaceutical installations. Data are grouped by type of financing. Data analysis was carried out to see the picture of the characteristics of the patient and the total cost of treatment. Correlation analysis was done to see the correlation between patient characteristics, medication and the type of financing the total cost.
The results were the average total cost of osteoarthritis patients in RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta in 2012, was IDR 102,966 ± 60,131 in ASKES patients.
