| description | Furniture Small Medium Industry (SMI) had been for along time admited as an
industry that used a lot of workers, it happen because of their production activity used small
portion of engine and technology. So as Pasuruan city, one of furniture industria center in
Indonesia. 58% of industrial workers absorb by furniture industry. Furniture SMI in Pasuruan
City had been there since in the early of 1970th, and it keep growing in popolation number.
Until year of 2010, there are 2.115 unit of furniture SMI. Each of the furniture SMI showing
different level of development. This study aims to identifying the different of development
level on each furniture SMI and than looking for the factors influenced the different. Be sides
that, this study also try to identifying how far does the goverment roles in the development of
furniture SMI.
Varible in this study include four groups of factors, that are physical factors (consist
of : working place, raw materials, tools, transportation, technology, infrastructure, nature
condition, and source of energy) |
