| Summary: | This research is aimed at finding and describing humor generated by the utilization of
pragmatic aspects, language aspects, types of humor discourse, and functions of humor
discourse of Rons Imawan.
This qualitative descriptive study is conducted through the data collection phase, the
data analysis phase, and results analyisis of data analysis phase. Data collection is performed
by the simak method, through cakap technique. Data in the form of sentences, discourse, and
cartoons from Rons Imawan twitter account, WOW Konyol books by Rons Imawan and blog
from Rons Imawan. Furthermore, the data were analyzed based on aspects that cause
cuteness interpretatid while using the results of data analysis done with descriptive methods.
The results show that the data generated by the humor of discourse utilization
pragmatic aspects of discourse humor Rons Imawan can be divided into three, namely: 1) the
deviation of cooperative principle, which consists of a) the maxim of quantity, b) the maxim
of quality, c) maxim of relevance, and d ) maxim of manner. 2) deviation of politeness
principle which consists of a) maxims of tact, b) maxim of generosity, c) maxim of
approbation, d) maxim of modesty, e) maxim of agrement, and f) maxim of sympathy. 3)
pragmatic parameters, which consists of a) distance rating, b) power rating, c) rank rating.
Meanwhile, aspects of language used by Rons Imawan the humor of discourse creation
includes a) orthographic aspects, b) phonological aspects, c) ambiguity, d) hiponimi, e)
synonymy, f) antonymy, g) euphemism, h) name, i) deiksis, j) linkage word in the phrase, k)
element of intra clause linkage, l) passive active construction, m) inter clause linkage, and n)
inter proposition ties.
Rons Imawan humor discourse can be grouped based on the number of speakers and
based on the discourse themes. Based on the number of speakers, Rons Imawan humor of
discourse can be grouped into two categories, namely 1) humor monologue discourse and 2)
the discourse of dialogue humor. Meanwhile, based on the discourse theme, Rons Imawan
humor discourse can be divided into: 1) political humor discourse, 2) education humor
discourse, 3) cultural humor discourse, 4) social humor discourse, 5) economic humoor
discourse, 6) law and criminality humor discourse, 7 ) sports humor discourse.
Rons Imawan humor discourse has several functions: 1) humor as a means to criticize
the government, 2) humor as a form of romance against the couple, 3) humor to respond to
the phenomenon that occurs in the community, 4) humor to change the weakness and sadness
to a laugh and 5) humor as an advice and motivation for humor readers.
