| Summary: | The research which changed to publication in the form of this thesis is aimed to
investigate how the law arrangement on the execution of tourism industry planning activities
are performed in the Special Province of Yogyakarta and what government agencies which
manage tourism industry promotion activities in the Special Province of Yogyakarta and
also the related law as based regulation to perform such activities in the Special Province of
Yogyakarta. The data gathering is mainly done through primary data and secondary data.
The result of the research shows that, First, the law arrangements on the tourism
industry planning activities in the Special Province of Yogyakarta were started by three
national law arrangements, namely Code number 17 year 2007 on National Long Range
Development Plan Year 2005-2025, Code number 10 year 2009 on Tourism, and
Government Regulation number 50 year 2011 on Master Plan of National Tourism
Development Year 2010-2025. The existence of three national law arrangements on tourism
are the based for Special Province of Yogyakarta to have the roadmap of tourism industry
planning activities in the form of Local Government Law number 2 year 2009 on Regional
(Special Province of Yogyakarta) Long Range Development Planning Year 2005-2025,
Local Government Law number 4 year 2009 on Regional (Special Province of Yogyakarta)
Middle Range Development Planning Year 2009-2013, and Local Government (Special
Province of Yogyakarta) number 1 year 2012 on Master Plan of Regional Tourism
Development in Special Province of Yogyakarta Year 2012-2025. Second, the agency which
manage the tourism industry promotion activities in the Special Province of Yogyakarta is
Regional Cooperation and Investment Board of Special Province of Yogyakarta, which
performed by three divisions, namely Division of Planning and Promotion which is based on
Local Government Law number 2 year 2009 on Regional (Special Province of Yogyakarta)
Long Range Development Plan Year 2005-2025, Local Government Law number 4 year
2009 on the Regional (Special Province of Yogyakarta) Middle Range Development Plan
Year 2009-2013, and Presidential Decree number 16 year 2012 on General Plan of
Investment
