description The current research aims to conduct ecological analysis of Warmamedi Coastal ecosystem, to analyze the Warmamedei Coastal ecosystem suitability for coastal ecotourism development, to devise the concept of coastal ecotourism development plan in Jamursba Medi Wildlife Sanctuary. The study employed field observatikon method. The parameters measured are the quality of beach water ecosystem and characteristics of the coast. Vegetation data collection was performed using a species-area curve method. Transect plots are made in path shape measuring of 50 x 10m landward. Plots sizing 10 x 10 m were made on the path. Parameters measured in pescaprae zone are the type and width of the cover, and in Baringtonia zone, type, diameter, and height of the plants. Species identification was conducted at Herbatorium Laboratory of Universitas Negeri Papua, in Manokwari. Data on the number of Leatherback Turtles nest was obtained fro WWF Sorong for the last five years. The results showed that the area of the smallest transect plots representing the forest stands of Warmamedi Beach is 3,200 m². Species diversity on Baringtonia Zone is categorized as "moderate", dominated by Cycas rumphii, and the dominant species on the pescaprae Zone is Cyperus pedunculatus. The leatherback turtles spawning on Jamursba Medi beach are 583 head per year, on average. It is higher than the minimum population mean to maintain the genetic diversity. Based on Tourism Suitability Index, Warmamedi Beach is categorized as �suitable� for ecotourism resort development. The recommended tourism activities, developed in Jamursba Medi Wildlife Sanctuary are ecotourism, special interest tourism, and adventure tours, by taking the carrying capacity of the region into account.
