Summary: | To support the development of the industry, regionalization has a very
important role in the success of small rural industries programs. Accordance with
this research, regionalization aims to find out: characteristics of the spatial
distribution of small industries, clusters of small industries, leading small
industries and the centers of the leading small industries.
The research was conducted in BantulDistrict by using the method of
secondary data analysis research. To determine the distribution pattern of small
rural industries, used analysis of geographic analysis coefficient (KAG). KAG> -0.02 indicates a pattern forming cluster, whereas when KAG<-0,01 indicates
uneven distribution pattern. The determination of regional leading commodity,
used methods of location quotient analysis (LQ). LQ values> 1 the dominant
sector and LQ <1 is not dominant sector. KAG and LQ then used to determine
which areas are unseeded, eminent and top seed.
The results of the research showed the distribution pattern of of small rural
industries in Bantul District establish a certain clusters with the characteristics of
commodities production output. For leading small industrial, food industries
located in Srandakan, Kretek, Bambanglipuro, Bantul, Jetis, Banguntapan and
Pajangan Sub District. The clothing industries located in Jetis, Pandak, Bantul,
Imogiri and Sedayu Sub District. The chemical and building industries located in
Srandakan, Piyungan, Banguntapan, Pajangan and Sedayu Sub District. The craft
industry located in Pundong, Dlingo, Sewon, Kasihan and Sedayu Sub District.
Then, the metal industries located inPandak, Banguntapan and Kasihan Sub
District. The center ofleading small industries, food industry located in Kretek
and Jetis, clothing and leather industry located in Imogiri and Pandak, chemical
industry and construction located in Piyungan and Pajangan, handicraft industry
located in Dlingo and Sewon, metal industry located in Pandak and Banguntapan.
