Summary: | Until now transport in Sleman district and Yogyakarta city has undergone
rapid development both in quality and quantity. The development of a quality
vehicle that is used from year to year is always experienced a change in the form
or system model. In terms of quantity, motor vehicles are also increasing in
number. However, the additional amount is not balanced by the added roads. This
study aimed to 1) Determine the growth rate of transport and road infrastructure
in Sleman and Yogyakarta Year 2000 to 2010. 2) Knowing the factors that cause
the growth mode of transportation in the city of Yogyakarta and Sleman Year
2000-2010. 3) to analyze the relationship between the growth of transport and
road infrastructure in Sleman and Yogyakarta Year 2000-2010.
The method used in this research is the statistical analysis of Pearson
Product Moment Correlation Knowing the degree of relationship modes of
transportation (motor vehicles) and road infrastructure contained in Sleman and
Yogyakarta through scaling, ANOVA, and correlation between the two variables
under study and also use analysis factor is one of the multivariate statistical
technique that aims to classify data into groups according to the intercorrelations
among variables.
The results are consistent with the objectives, 1) growth modes
significantly from year to year, both in Sleman district of Yogyakarta and are
dominated by vehicle type motorcycle. The growth of road infrastructure of the
kind and condition of the road is almost stagnant and even declined in some years
of the study. 2) the number of vehicles, regional gross revenue, population,
number of universities, the number of tourists and the number of people working
is a variable that causes the growth mode of transportation. 3) Analysis of
variance (ANOVA) for the growth of motor vehicles and road infrastructure at the
sites did not experience a noticeable difference / significance. Based on the
correlation analysis, it is known that there is not a strong relationship between the
significant and the direction of growth of the transport infrastructure and roads in
Sleman Yogyakarta Year 2000-2010.
