description ALOS image is a medium resolution image. ALOS imagery usually used as an alternative tool for data collecting besides the land survey. This study aims to quantify and test the level of accuracy of geometric interpretation of land use and landform using ALOS image, to place the best location where alternative toll road can be build, from Glagah to Yogyakarta City Outer Ring Road. The methods that used in this study are: interpreting ALOS image, field survey, and descriptiev analysis. ALOS image interpretation method is used to extract information about land use and landform. The results of this interpretation will be tested by its level of precision before it is used as a data source. Field surveys are used to gain information about existing land use and landform and also land elevation and soil texture. Descriptive analysis is used to analyze land suitability and to place the best location where alternative toll road can be build. ALOS image can be used to get information about physical parameter with high accuration. The accuration of ALOS image interpretation to get information is about 96%, and the accuration of ALOS image interpretation to get information about landform is 85 % . There are 3 conclutions from this study: (a). Toll road alternative connecting Glagah - Yogyakarta City Outer Ring Road with 39,86 km distance. (b). Toll road alternative connecting Glagah - Yogyakarta City Outer Ring Road with 63,85 km distance. (c). Toll road alternative connecting Glagah - Yogyakarta City Outer Ring Road with 47,01 km distance.
