Summary:Public awareness of environmental issues continues to grow, this is caused by the disruption of nature conservation and living because of human activity. The growth of the hospitality and resort industry continues to develop, so this shows that the accommodation is very important to support the needs of tourists, but these business activities have an impact on the environment. An estimated 75% of the environmental impact caused by the hospitality activities through the use of goods, energy and excess water and waste result defamed into the air, water and soil. The environmental impact caused by the hospitality and resort activities, making many hotel management should adopt development strategies and the use of environmentally friendly green hotel management to support environmentally friendly activities. This study aimed to identify the attributes of environmentally friendly (green attributes) desired by hotel guests and to evaluate the truly green hotel based on the perspective of the consumer. The problem posed in this study to determine the green attributes desired by hotel guests in the room that measured by assessing the list of green attributes which provided in the room. Meanwhile, to evaluate the truly green hotel is measured through consumer opinions about the green hotel The theory used in this study discusses the consumer perception regarding green hotel. The sample in this research were 157 respondents from guests who stayed at Living Colours Dive Resort is located on Bunaken, North Sulawesi. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistical analysis in the form of a frequency distribution, the average value (mean) and the comparative test. The results showed a list of green attributes desired by the respondents, but this does not indicate that they did not approve the use of green attributes as most of the respondents agreed to the use of green attributes. The respondents gave positive feedback about the hotel green, indicating that our guests understand the benefits of green hotel on the environment and show confidence in using green hotel services.
