| Summary: | Globalization in business world happens in a rapid pace. This has led to
universal claims that the one that can survive the competition is a company who
has a better standard of living, the one which able to involve people (employees),
planet (environment) and profit (economy) in an effective and efficient way. The
Company has an obligation to implement sustainable development in company�s
operational and long-term plan, as a sense of belonging and responsibility for
being part of the world.
Lots of factors affect the implementation of sustainable development in a
company, and it is required to identify these factors in order to formulate the
sustainable development strategy for Lautan Luas Group. The implementation of
sustainable development will bring benefit for corporate image as well as creating
Good Corporate Governance in company�s operation.
Lautan Luas Group has a basic understanding of the application of the
sustainable development, they just still not consistent and complete in its
implementation, and therefore required a review and formulation of appropriate
strategies so that the well-designed concept could be realized. Interviews with
some Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) are expected to be able to gain the
company�s current position in its attempt to conduct sustainable development,
which is then added information and input from benchmarking company, Lautan
Luas Group is ready to become a company that applies sustainable development
in 2020.
