Summary: | Malioboro is an icon for Yogyakarta as Touirism City . It�s fame
could attract people throughout Indonesia and even all around the world
leading to the image that coming to Yogyakarta is imperfect without visiting
Malioboro. Due to this prominent role, Malioboro should be managed and
developed well physically as well as non-physically and all the effort is about
visitor satisfaction. Therefore Yogyakarta Municipal Tourism Office as the
one who has authority and responsibility for tourism service, consider the need
to establish Technical Unit office to manage Malioboro.
This research aims are to identify potensial problems stemmed from
Malioboro and to analyze strategies implemented by Technical Unit Office of
Malioboro to solve the problem. It takes Logical Framework Analysis model to
help identifying problems, purposes and logical analysis related to the program
implementation. This analysis is also used to find out program achievement
priority, ensure the relevance between input and output and also pinpoint the
achievements beyond the targets. Logical Framework Analysis could be the
baseline to conduct monitoring and evaluating achievement indicators.
The shift of Malioboro from amicable private place to business area,
defines Malioboro as a business-nuance place of interest leading to achieve
goal as the ultimate tourism destination. Therefore, sharing similar vision and
mission among the stakeholders is the first priority. It should be followed by
determination of all stakeholders abiding the vision. All of this will facillitate
to manage and conduct programmes for better Malioboro
