The Companies claim that their responsibility included in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program which can solve the problems. It is efective enough for company to fool people.
Company activities which extract mineral resources look fine when the company have done their responsibility in CSR. Although there is a basic problem about CSR that it having antroposentric character.CSR only care and control people interaction with the others but not for ecology problems. The main problem of extract mineral resources is ecology problem. It is same the companies hiding their carelessness or mistake if the companies unfocus with ecology problem.
It�s not easy to make sure the mining company comply with the ecology�s rule. Because they only focus on how make maximum finacial benefit but not to protect environment. Besides that, there are organizations to keep this rule, but they are not maximum to do it. Many problems about ecology which did not discuss and solve together. This make the weakness responsibility of mining company is bigger. The condition of this, makes impossible for company to responsible using CSR program. |
