| Summary: | This study discusses the tourist area of Gili Kondo. This study is based on still at least
discussion or information about tourist area Gili Kondo. In fact, Gili Kondo tourist
area is a tourist area that has great potential to become a leading tourist destination on
the island of Lombok in particular in the district Lombok. There are several obstacles
that make this area not so well known by tourists. The main constraint is the potential
of tourism in the tourist area of Gili Kondo has not been developed to the maximum
by the manager. As well as the lack of knowledge about the community will be aware
tourist.
The approach in this study used a descriptive approach based on qualitative data.
Methods of collecting data through direct observation in the field, interviews with
several informants related, and document analysis.
The results of this study is an examination of the various tourism potentials contained
in Gili Kondo tourist area so it can be fully utilized by tourists as well as the manager.
The potential or attraction located in the tourist area of Gili Gili Kondo is lote, Gili
Kondo, Gili Lights, Lights and Gili Gili Lawang. While tourism activities that can be
done in the region, among others around the Cidomo, Boat Trip, Snorkeling, Coral
planting. Communities around the tourist area of Gili Kondo has not spelled out
enough knowledge to tourism awareness, but they are very supportive with the
holding of tourism activities in their area. Due to the growing tourist areas in their
regions, the income of local communities will increase. The development to do in
Gili Kondo tourist area can be a recommendation to be considered by the manager of
the tourist area of Gili Kondo, and is also expected to make the surrounding
community to be more aware of tourism awareness.
