description Level of efficiency of a power plant is not only based on how much energy is produced, how much percentage of own use, but the use of fuel (coal) is also influential. The amount of heat required from coal to generate electrical energy (heat rate) impact on the efficiency of the power plant. The higher value of net heat rate, then the rate of power plant efficiency is also higher. At the power plant, the energy produced is not 100% supplied to the network but is also used to supply electrical energy at supporting equipment of the electrical production itself or referred to as auxilary power consumtion. At the power plant of Tanjung Jati B , the use of his own to reach 35 MW of the total 710 MW generated. Therefore, absolute is used of his own use for the system is able to run properly. one of the highest the use of electricity consumption is the use of the boiler feed pump. This tool serves to increase pressure on the boiler if the boiler get pressure deficiency by adding the water supply to the boiler which was then evaporated is raise the water pressure of 7 bar to 166 bar. Application rate itself affects the efficiency of the power plant and the amount of fuel consumption. The final project will discuss about auxiliary equipment in power plant of Tanjung Jati B units 1-2 and 3-4, it is boiler feed pump. Where Units 1-2 using a motor-driven boiler feed pump while the Units 3-4 use turbine driven-boiler feed pump. This is affecting the level of efficiency in the power plant.
