| Summary: | Boiler is a main euipment in a steam power plant. Main function of boiler is to change water from liquid phase to steam phase. Steam with certain temperature and pressure will be use to rotate steam turbine. In Tanjung Jati B�s power plant, type of boiler is carolina radiant boiler for pulverized coal with capacity 710 MW gross and capacity nett is 660 MW. Start-up and Shutdown are some kind operation of boiler.
In the operation boiler should be run for 8760 hours with no trouble. Views the long expectation operation of boiler of course maintenance needed for it. There are 2 type of maintenance, first predictive maintenance and corrective maintenance. The main maintenance for boiler is tube�s maintenace because if any trouble with boiler�s tube operator�s will choose to shutdown the boiler.
Know boiler efficiency and keep boiler efficiency is important for people who work in power plant. To know efficiency in boiler can use some methode, can see from steam condition, inlet outlet energy and heat loss methode. |
