Summary: | Background: Data from Basic Health Research of Indonesia in 2007 on diarrhea
in underfive showed that diarrhea number was 54 % and was distributed in all of
age group with the highest prevalence was detected in underfive that was 17 %.
Profile of Health Office of North Minahasa Regency in 2010 stated that diarrhea
in underfive in Dimembe Subdistrict achieved 19 %, the highest amongst the
subdistricts in North Minahasa Regency, though this still below the national
diarrhea number in underfive.
Objectives: To analyze the behavior of the woman whose have underfive and
environment as risk factor of diarrhea in underfive in Dimembe Subdistrict, North
Minahasa Regency.
Methods: This was epidemiology analytic study by case control design. The sample size
was 116, consist of 58 in case group and 58 in control group. The study had been
performed in January to March 2012.
Results: The behavior of woman whose have underfive as risk factor of diarrhea in
underfive according to statistical test obtained result as follow: X2 = 20.75
