Arabic influence on technology is evident in the need for manufacturers to include the
technology in the Arabic term technology when such technology products marketed
among the Arabs so that the product can be accepted by the Arabs, such as the
operating system Windows 7. The new technologies presence including computers in
Saudi society remains a problem, since the computer is a product of the West and it is
designed with the English language so that programs, operating procedures, and user
interface language using the English language. While the Arab community in Arabic
which has a difference, especially in terms of character letters, the pronunciation, and
structure. In this study discussed the process of the term formation in the Windows 7
operating system in Arabic. Given the material object of this study is the Arabic text so
that the theory used is Arabic linguistic theory, in this case the science is morphology
and syntax of Arabic. In addition, semantic theory, lexical semantics and grammatical
semantics, is used to discuss the meaning. In the menus in windows 7 operating system
in Arabic, the term formation that occurs in accordance with the establishment rules of
the term in Arabic, namely rules s}arf and nah}wu. However, the term formation is also
influenced by the habits of Arab society is more likely to pay attention to specification
aspects or characteristics of something to be translated or given name, or aspects of the
way it works, or function aspects than phenomenon aspects or outer forms. |
