In the crushing job usually takes a few times solving. Phase of work along with the type of crusher used is split by the first stage primary crusher types and solving the second stage by the secondary crusher. Damage to the components that often occurs in the secondary crusher is broken hammer bolts. This study aims to purpose the type of material used in the secondary crusher hammer bolt, knowing the microstructure that occurs in the secondary crusher hammer bolts, and know the type of fracture and mechanic properties of the bolt as well as knowing the hardness and impact values. Testing was conducted on the testing of chemical composition, microstructure, hardness, impact. Results showed that the secondary crusher hammer bolt material is made of Steel Casting A487 class 2. Microstructure consisting of ferrite and pearlite, and the bolt has undergone a process of hardenig surface flame hardening. Type of fracture is the ductile, showing the bolt has a ductile. Highest hardness 138,79 VHN and vaue of 2,38 J/mm2 is the highest impact occurred on the specimen number 3. |
