Semarang city as the capital of Cental Java province is a city that every year have
been growth and developed so rapidly. The effect from of this rapid development
then more land covered by path and other buildings, so that the water that seeped
into the soil is reduced. The flood (tide) is a problem that often occurs Semarang
city. Therefore created an alternative is West Flood Canal River is a continuation
of the Kali Garang section that flowing from Ungaran mountain to the north at
the confluence of two major branches, is Kripik river and Kreo river, each
approximately 12 km and 10 km counted from the headwaters to the mouth of the
river. Here the writer researching on development of the West Flood Canal which
planned to developed as water tourist attraction. Because this substantially a
flood canal is a river that was built to cope the flood in the capital of Central Java
province. |
