Summary:Orthodontic treatment is a treatment that aims to obtain aesthetically pleasing appearance and stable results. Different level of fixed orthodontic treatment need will show some sympthoms that can clinically observed and affected our daily life. Oral health-related quality of life (OHQoL) evaluates the influence of oral health to the quality of life and how oral health affected the daily life. This study aims to indentify the relationship between fixed orthodontic treatment need and oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) in patients orthodontic clinic RSGMP Prof. Soedomo Yogyakarta. This study used the cross-sectional approach. The subjects of this research are 100 patients of orthodontic clinic in RSGMP Prof. Soedomo Yogyakarta. The subjects� age ranged from 15-30 years old. Orthodontic treatment need assessment using Aesthetic Component (AC) of the index orthodontic treatment need (IOTN). The assessment is by saw a model study of patients before undergoing orthodontic treatment and then evaluating OHRQoL. OHRQoL assessment conducted using oral health impact profile-14 (OHIP-14) questionnaires. Hypothetical measurement conducted using the Pearson-Product Moment correlation measurement using 95% level of confidence. The result of this study shows the significant correlation between fixed orthodontic treatment need and oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) (r =0.401
