Description
Summary:The more increase of population in city the more decrease the green open spaces. It is caused by the conversion of green land into building. The more decrease green open spaces, the area of the old - the old type of existing vegetation will be reduced. Therefore, this study aims to determine how big the species composition of vegetation and vegetation trend by the public. The research is aimed at : 1) identifying the type composition and vegetation function at the Kraton Sub district, 2) Identifying the factors vegetation plant at the Kraton Sub district. To fulfill the aims above, the inventory is done by making transect line according to street line at residence area, live observation to identify the vegetation function, and the factor vegetation plant using the questioner to the people and testet using Chi-Square test. Location selection with purposive sampling in Kraton subdistrict with two type residence ( traditional dan middle ). Variable data used tree species, the number of individuals of each species, circumference, and the function of each vegetation. The research result reveals that type composition at Namburan Lor obtained with Shannon is 2,55 whereas in the Kadipaten Kulon is 2,85. The result reveals that Namburan diversity is lower then Kadipaten Kulon. Vegetation function in Namburan Lor for soften line, whereas in the Kadipaten Kulon for unity. From the results of Chi-Square test, proved that the characteristic of the population does not affect the trend of planting vegetation.
